Residual value insurance which provides protection to a consumer in connection with the trade-in of a purchased vehicle within a set timeframe (2-4 years). Trade Value Protection enhances customer loyalty by providing protection only upon return to the same dealer or OEM for the next vehicle purchase.
Senior Vice President, Passenger Vehicle
Rene joined RVI in 2002, with responsibility for Passenger Vehicle underwriting and risk management. Since then, he has become responsible for business and product development for the insurance business as well as Analytical Services. His area of expertise is in the analysis of the auto leasing market with particular focus on portfolio risk management; his extensive experience in residual risk management includes consulting with bank and captive lessors on appropriate reserve estimates, as well as residual setting practices. Before joining RVI, he was a Principal at The Campbell Group in Boston, MA, and prior to this spent four years at Standard & Poor’s Global Automotive Group. Earlier in his career, he worked at World Omni in the residual risk group and the Federal Reserve’s automotive group. Rene holds a B.A. in Mathematical Economics from Brown University.
Vice President, RVI Analytical Services
Joe recently joined RVI as Vice President of Sales for the PV Group, with responsibility for development and execution of sales initiatives for RVI Analytics as well as support of the insurance business. Joe brings a wealth of relevant experience in passenger auto and residual risk management, having worked for both banks and captive finance arms of automotive manufacturers. Prior to joining RVI, Joe was in charge of Residual Risk Management at Toyota Financial Services, and prior to that spent four years at Ally Financial and ten years at U.S. Bank in Residual Risk Management. Joe holds an MBA from Xavier University and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Toledo.
Director, RVI Analytical Services
Wayne has been with the RVI team since in 2006. Starting as a Claims Analyst, he is now responsible for the production and distribution of the RVI Guidebooks for the US and Canada as well as the US Super Luxury Guidebook. Wayne’s responsibilities also include client service management, where he focuses on delivering residual risk analysis for banks, captives and credit unions, as well as communicating RVI’s current and future outlook of the used car market. Prior to joining RVI, Wayne spent 6 years with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the Rental and Remarketing Departments for the Hartford/Springfield area. Wayne earned a B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut – Storrs.
